Surgery booked

Mine is December 17th. Just think if you are in pain or just plain uncomfortable then you will feel so much better for Christmas.
(My birthday is the 24th so mine is a double good time at the holidays.)

Best of luck

I wish you the best of luck for a speedy and healthy recovery...to all the ladies who are waiting ! I have mine next wk Friday...my jitters come and go, but I think (as of right now) I'm dealing with it pretty good...but it could be a different as my days start to narrow down even closer :wow: . Best wishes to all of you!

surgery date set

Thank you ipswichtown!
I think staying busy will help you keep your mind off worrying...ok, maybe not entirely, but it'll help some. But don't over do it, make sure you take time to pamper yourself
I plan on getting together with my SIL this weekend and having a few drinks ...I'm sure I'll laugh and I know I'll be crying And as the surgery date draws closer, I know I'll be freaking out. But I plan on reading a really good book, cruising on this site (alot) and maybe, if I am up to it, put up some decorations.
I'll keep you in my prayers and best wishes for a speedy and healthy recovery.

I just scheduled mine for December 26th. Right after Christmas! I am not sure if that is going to be good or bad.

Dec. 26th surgery

I think it's better that you'll have it after Christmas ! That way you can keep yourself busy with shopping and decorating :xmas2: But on the other hand, it's a few weeks away and your mind will start to play tricks on you I've been going thru all sorts of emotions....crying alot, worried, sad, frustrated...wondering If I am making the right decision (I know I am, but on days that I feel good, I second guess myself and then the following days, I'm crouched up in a ball on the couch.) But it definitely helps being on this site and getting the support and encouragement that is needed I hope your surgery goes well, I'll say prayers for you and in the meantime try to enjoy the holiday and don't forget to pamper yourself....you do DESERVE it Many hugs to you, and best wishes

I am a newbie ... and don't know if this is the correct spot to post - but I too as scheduled for a hyster on 12/7. I have had 4 c-sections and 1 reconstructive surg. and I am wonderin if this will be any different? Everyone keeps telling me that a hyster is 'much worse' than a c-section...? I guess I just don't get it - why would that be? Any helpful insight on what to expect will be great! (As of current, they are planning to leave the overies and remove everything else - unless there is a problem...)

ellie mae

and
Sorry I can't really answer your question, because I have not had my surgery yet either. What type of hysterectomy are you having? Discuss your options with your doctor because there are many different types of Hysterectomies--you can find this information located on the Main Page, under Hysterectomy Definitions and types.
I'm glad you found this site....I found it just about 2 wks ago and I am so happy I did! There are so many things to think about, your mind will start to play tricks on you , well I know I've felt like I was going crazy . I sincerely wish you the best of luck. And I hope you can find the answers you are looking for
