Drive for the first time since surgery

So I am 4 weeks post op I had TVH a & p repair and sling.,. I drove on Monday and that was the most painful thing I have had to do!!! Anyone else having same issues with driving ... That made me so sore and in pain... I even bought a donut pillow but didn't help at all... This sux

I drove for the first time last Monday (2 days shy of 4 weeks out) and only did short trips. It wasn't painful, but not too pleasant either. I've since driven every day, except over the weekend, and it's gotten better. Yesterday was my farthest driving venture, when I drove to my moms 11.5 miles away, went to her luncheon, and drove myself back. I did really well. It will get better.

I am driving about 30 miles one way to work. I had to adjust the seat to not be soo upright and I use a pillow between me and the seatbelt. Some days are better than others but its getting better.

My first drive was pretty painful too and it took me awhile to figure out why. I was nervous about driving again and I was apparently tensing my stomach muscles without realizing it. I was getting an ab workout behind the wheel. Once I relaxed my core, it was much better. Best wishes to you.
