Nervous about returning to work tomorrow

I hope this is okay. I thought this would be a good thread for those of us with any nervous energy to burn off some of that energy. To banter back and forth about things like returning to work etc...

This way, we would not be interupting other threads with our going back and forth.

I know I have nervous energy today about returning to work tomorrow, what to wear, what fits etc...

Best wishes to you as you head back to work tomorrow. Maybe aim for soft-sided shoes or backless shoes (no heels) if you have them, and maybe take a different outfit (baggier than what you might be choosing to wear), just in case you decide you need looser clothes than you imagined. Coworkers are curious and will say the darndest things, so be prepared. And remember, the day DOES end, at the end of the day (or your shift).

Good luck with work tomorrow!!! I'm lucky I have 3 weeks to go, I've been living in one pair of pants when I leave the house - I'm going to burn them as soon as something else fits! Actually, my clothes all fit in the morning, but by afternoon I'm swollen and my too-tight pants make me really cranky!!

What do you do? Do you have a super busy job?

Can I ask a question? I was looking at your signature... what is a vaginal ablation? I'm hopeful that my TAH (kept ovaries) would be my last procedure... you've just mentioned a procedure for a body part I still have!

Oh, good luck! That's a job that takes a LOT of compassion and patience! Take it easy on yourself - don't be afraid to ask for help!

I feel for you... I'm nervous about going back and it's not even time for me to yet!

I will be thinking of you and hoping you have an easy day. Remember to take breaks when you need to.... you're still healing, even if it is time to try to get back to a "normal" life.

Dear Kris916, it's off topic of the thread that Kathy started, so I'll try to be brief. Email me privately if you'd like to have more info. The short version is that I had cervical dysplasia in addition to worries about possible ovarian cancer. But HPV (what causes cervical dysplasia) is still with me and my immune system is evidently not strong enough to keep it from attacking. This happens in roughly 4-6% of the cases of women who have hysts for cervical issues. VAIN is the acronym for VAginal Interepithelial Neoplasia. Laser ablation is laser surgery: it uses lasers to burn the infected flesh.

And Kathy, very very best wishes to you as you head back to work. My, you must be a compassionate, caring, kind person. Kudos!
