How are the six weekers doing?

Hi, I`m six weeks post op, and just got back from doctors, have been given the all clear to drive, and resume bedroom activities.
Although, I`m feeling quite fit and well, I do get tired very quickly.
Also, still a little painful when I go to the toilet, (both ways).
I hope ALL sisters are having a speedy recovery, and still taking it easy.

s to you all
Karin

6 week milestone

Hi,
I just found this site today. I had a vaginal hyst 2/21 & my doc said I still have a lot of stiches. I got the green light to have "my life" back, but working full-time, dropping my 2-year old at daycare, etc., wore me out yesterday! I'm bleeding & have burning pelvin pain today.

My job requires both walking & sitting in meetings - I must have overdone it!

Thanks for letting me share. My friends & family are kind, but miss my "SuperWoman" routine!

How are the six weekers doing?

Doing great, had my 5 week check Mar 24th. All looks good. Had already been driving for a week. Got the go ahead to resume 'activities'... no problems there except tension. Started back to work half days last week, next week I'm back full-time. The day does wear me out, but it's getting better, I have an 80 mile round trip commute. And today I will be booking our vacation to Cancun for the end of August....

How are the six weekers doing?

Hi I hope everyone is doing well or better. This is a little late, since I was 6 wk 4/1. I also had my surgery 2/18. I am doing great, I think. My 5 wk. check-up on 3/24, my Dr. said things looked great. However, no bedrm activity (you know what I mean)& no vacumming for 2 wks. She also said no work for 1 -2 wks. So my Dr. was great as far as giving me the time I needed. I first thought, I would go back after 5 wks. But as the time got closer, I really wanted another wk, so was glad she gave me that.

This wk, Monday, I started back full days. Well, I work 9 hr. days to have every other Friday off. So that really means I'm up & gone for about 10 1/2 - 11 hrs every work day. The first of the wk. , I was doing rather well. Yesterday, I worked, went to the grocery store after work, came home had to unpack groceries & to fix dinner. I was so exhausted & had some tummy pings (little tiny sudden pains). Then we went for a walk. The night before, we went for a long walk. I think that started it. My tummy was a little sore after that long walk. I am doing well for almost 7 wks., but have to remember to take it easy. I did to much yesterday. I was still tired this morning. Tonight I'm going to Tai Chi, but will not overdo it. I am just glad I have tomorrow off. Yippee!

How are the six weekers doing?

I also started back to work this past monday 4/4/05. It has been ok but I'm exhausted! Recovery has gone well - go the all clear from the doc. Just a little silver nitrate to help the healing and have to use premarin vaginal cream for a month for the same reason. Glad to hear everyone is doing well! Continue to take care of yourselves!

How are the six weekers doing?

Hi all,

I'm 6 weeks post-op tomorrow. Had my check-up today. I got the ok to go back to work next Monday, but NOT for bedroom activity with DH. How unfair is THAT???

I was having some pain on the right side. Dr. said an area of sutures hasn't dissolved there yet, so still restricted on relations with DH for 3 more weeks. I'd rather be restricted from working! This 6 weeks off has spoiled me and wishing for more mornings sleeping after 6:00 a.m. and watching Oprah!!!

Except for the fact that none of my work clothes fit and I literally will have to wear the same dress slacks every single day to work thanks to swelly belly, I feel really good

Take care, everyone.

How are the six weekers doing?

Is the seemingly weight gain in the abdomen following TAH/SPO normal? I thought I had gained weight but many seem to be talking about swelly belly?

I had surgery 2/22.....am 6 weeks out but having red spotting again even though doc silver nitrated me on Monday....what's that about anyway? Why the heck did it hurt so much? URGH
