starting to spot week 3 post op

am getting scared. I am in week 3 post op. started to spot; with pain, and itchy feeling. is this normal?? is it just my stitches healing? only had bleeding first day, and that is because I was so sick. had nothing since. have kind of pressure, cramping and I do not know how to explain the feeling of something inside of me. really did not do anything today much, other than cooking, and walking. this is embarrassing, but I have to ask. I had a complete hysterectomy via da vinci robot; where exactly am I stitched up on inside?? i am hoping the feeling i am feeling on inside are the stitches healing.

Re: starting to spot week 3 post op

My surgery was Sept 6 and I had spotting for the first time today I don't know exactly where sutures are but I have discomfort in my belly too. It is not painful but more like sharp needles inside. Did you keep your cervix? I did and I've read that some women spot during their "what would be" cycle. My dr thought I should have no spotting. I hope this clears up for both of us.

Re: starting to spot week 3 post op

Hello. I started bleeding with clots around week 3 and was freaking out cause I thought for sure I had somehow overdone things even though I was barely doing anything. I went to the dr and he checked everything out and it was fine. He said it was most likely a stitch coming out and bringing some stuff with it. Also, with moving around more you can move things around inside your vagina and blood that was caught in a pocket or whatever can become loose and come out. I had some pain still at that point and was crampy the day the clot happened. I would say call your dr and go in to have them check you out. But probably you will be ok. Hugs to you!!
