pain in right side

I Haven't Wrote In Awhile I Have Been Finding Most Of My Answers Already On The Board. Anyway I Have Been Doing Pretty Good. You Would Say Normal Until This Morning. I Wil Be 5wks Post Op Tomorrow. Around 9am I Started Having A Strong Pain In My Right Side Maybe A Little Under My Rib Cage Down To Pelvic Area. Some While I Am Sitting But Mostly While Walking. Anyway I Was Just Hoping Someone Could Give Some Advice Or Maybe Someone Else Has Had The Same Feelings. Thanks

pain in right side

Hi, i had my surgery 4 weeks ago and have had that similar pain on my right side - feels like a pulled muscle - I thought maybe I was doing too much - I am right handed and maybe reaching for a cup in cupboard, microwave etc - thought maybe it was just the stitches inside - am really being careful now . pain in right side

I have had a lot of pain on my right side... all the way from my rib down to my hip and wrapping around my back. It's a burning sensation, as well as some achiness down near my hip.

I did call my doctor last week, and talked to the nurse, actually, and after chatting for a while on the phone, she told me this was all part of the healing process. She did tell me that if I notice redness or a fever or the pain starts to get worse, and will not go away with pain medications, then to come in right away. But, so far, I haven't had any of those red flags.

Call your doctor if you're concerned.... they are there to help put your mind at ease. :-)

Take care!!
