Changes with both ovaries-libido after hysterectomy
Can / does your estrogen levels change after your hysterectomy if you kept your ovaries? My sex drive is so much higher now. Hope everyone is healing well. Hugs to all my sisters.

My surgery was Jan. 9 and I wondered the same thing. The dr told me our ovaries go into shock with the surgery but in time start functioning again. I know I just went through about two weeks of sore breast like we get when pregnant, headaches, increased sex drive. Which I won't complain. Yet my body still seems to go through PMS without the monthly. Now to get my legs to stop hurting at the end of the day, and less fatigue. On my good days I make the best of my energy, stop when my body has had enough.

It is common for our libidos to increase after hysterectomy with or without an oophorectomy. This article about Libido Surge may help.
