TAH 6 weeks post hysterectomy just started HRT

It's been a long 6 weeks. Knock on wood feels like most of the gas pains and the worst of the inner tugs and really bad fatigue are over!
The menopause symptoms hot flashes and insomnia have gotten worse though and eating lots of phytoestrogens wasn't cutting it so just started 1 mg daily Estrace (Estradiol) tablets. Today is day 4 first 2 nights I slept better but last 2 nights the insomnia is back. Hope it improves. Hope everyone else is doing well! Feeling much better overall!

It is good that the medication is working for you. The hard parts of recovering are when the insomnia hit. That is where I am now too. During one week I have had almost 4 nights of having my eyes wide open and watching the clock roll by.

One day at a time and keep up that great healing!!

Thanks! You too. The insomnia is still hit n miss bit the hot flashes and brain fog seem better.
