WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

I stopped having periods 6 years ago when I went thru menopause. I had hysterectomy the 5th of Feb and have not stopped bleeding yet!

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

My sister had a hysterectomy one year ago this week...we took a little one day road trip to see a concert the last week in February and we had to chuckle at how good it felt that neither one of us had to worry about our periods. In the past, it never failed, that either one or even both of us would have it for any trip we took. It was terrible! So this time it was almost heaven to know neither of us had it or even had to think about it!

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

I was suppose to have it last week and it feels so good not to have it. I'm still spotting but sure beats having the "heavy", crampy periods!

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

I never knew when mine would start, so I'm sure I would have been going now. It was funny -- a few days after my surgery, my boyfriend asked me what I was going to do with Aunt Flo's "luggage" -- the little bag I carried back and forth to work because I'd have to re-stock it every night. When he asked me that, I was momentarily speechless. It's been so long since I didn't have to think about carrying extra pads that I truly have NO IDEA what I'm going to do with the "luggage." I'm thinking a ceremonial bonfire. :-)

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

bonfire sounds great! I gave all my stuff to my DD. The first time I walked down 'that isle' at the grocery store and realized I didn't need to be there people thought I was nuts...could have been the giggling to myself!

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

This is usually my time too. I'm too shocked to celebrate. I've had no spotting or bleeding. I told the ladies in my post-op group that if this is truly the case, I'll party next month!

I'd forgotten about the emergency kits. Hmmm . . .. perhaps I'll start tracking them down and create lovely care kits for my sister and sister-in-law.

Now that made me smile

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

ROFL this is too funny!! I needed a good laugh, and this is all soooooo true!!! It got me to thinking....where have I stashed my supplies? I know they are EVERYWHERE!!!! I'm sure I will find them in my car, in several purses, etc. I'll wrap them all up and give them to my sister, I'm sure she will appreciate it lol
The commercials....have a happy period....good call jillclair!!!! I always hated those commercials too...and now I can watch them and know that those skrawny model witches have their periods and I DONT!!!! and that makes me happy

WoooooooooHoooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

Funny you should mention this today. Yesterday, DH and I were reading the Sunday paper and I saw that the "supplies" were on sale in an ad. Just for a passing moment I forgot that I didn't need them anymore. I then held up the ad for DH to see and said, "How cool is it that I don't have to buy these EVER again?" He didn't seem to understand the significance of my statement. I think it will take me several missed periods for it to actually sink in myself.

I've had dreams about starting my period. I wake up thinking I must have started and then I am like "oh, yeah, not anymore. woohoo!!!" sometimes I am shocked I don't have them anymore and that I simply don't MISS THEM!!!!
