dVH/RALH 1 month post hysterectomy: When does the itching end?!!!!!

I have 2 small incisions on my right side, 1 in the belly button, and 1 on my left side. All of them are almost completely healed. I am 5wks post op on Tuesday. This past week the itching has been INTENSE to say the least. My belly is constantly itching regardless of how much Vitamin E I apply. I thought maybe the Vitamin E was giving me an adverse reaction, so I stopped and the itch persisted. It is AWFUL! Any suggestions on how to help it subside before I scratch myself raw :-( Thank you in advance!

I used polysporin around the edges and unscented lotion. Wear your binder over a t-shirt or Cami even when you sleep so if you have the urge to scratch, you scratch that and not your incisions. that itching drove me bonkers. It will pass, I know it's not fun. That part drove me batty. Good luck!!

Try benadryl

My Dr told me at my 2 week appt to apply neosporin to my healed (but pink color) incision. It burned & I had to shower it off. I tried again days later & it still burned.

For itching, Benedry oral or If youre incisions are healed benedryl topical. I suggest when trying topical, just apply on a small area & wait to test if any adverse reaction.
