Fibroids - no bleeding

I just scheduled my TAH for April 12th. My Dr. is on vacation for 2 weeks in March and then my husband and I are going on a 1 week vacation the last week of March. That's why there is such a long wait. Believe me, I wish it were sooner. I have been reading this board and noticed that everyone who is having a hysterectomy, seem to have a lot of bleeding and/or cramping. I am having one because of a fibroid that is growing rapidly. I haven't had a peroid (and don't miss them) for 2 years. I have been on HRT for a year and a half. My Dr. wants to take both overies since I don't need them. Her logic is that I can't get ovarion cancer if I don't have overies. Makes sence. I have 2 grown girls. I am debating about my cervix, don't know if I should keep it or not. I am really nervous and have a long wait ahead of me. I am wondering if anyone else has fibroids that has already gone through menopause and has no bleeding. I am so thankful for this website.
