I had my iron checked, my incision checked (TAH) and talked with the dr about how I was feeling, review of do's and don'ts for recovery... no internal exam done until 6 week check.

2 week post-op doctor's visit? (for TVH plus A&P repair)

My first exam with a TVH was an internal at 3 weeks post-op. From what I've read here, all doctors are different. I personally was glad mine did an internal and was able to tell me all was healing well. It wasn't as uncomfortable as it could have been.

I had an unplanned internal exam at two weeks (long story...) but be assured that it didn't hurt at all.

My first internal exam was at week three and it was a bit uncomfortable, but nothing to be scared about. I had a bit of twingy cramping the rest of the day, so took an ibuprofen to help with the discomfort of that. Just breathe!

At my 2 wk post op the doctor talked with me about how I was feeling, examed the incision, discussed the do's and don'ts and reviewed the pathology report with me. He didn't do an internal exam, but did prescribe a low dosage hormone patch for some night sweats I was experiencing.
