I'm here to cheer you on , offer support and guidance, and point you to helpful resources here on HysterSisters. Not long ago I was in your shoes, scared and unsure of how to navigate the unchartered waters of surgery. I know the nerves and anticipation of your upcoming Hysterectomy can get the best of you.

Right now, the best thing you can do is get yourself as mentally and physically prepared for surgery as possible. I found that keeping busy helped to somewhat lessen the pre-op anxiety.

Here are some things you can do to prepare:

-Do some last-minute house cleaning. You will be naming your dust bunnies towards the end of recovery!

-Prepare your recovery corner. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. A cozy armchair, your bed, or your spot on the couch work just fine. Arm yourself with pillows, load up Netflix, and stock up on books or magazines you've been meaning to check out. Knitting, scrapbooking, or other sedentary crafts are great boredom busters!

-Prepare and freeze some make ahead meals that you can take out of the freezer and heat in the oven.

-If your husband or family have questions about your surgery, direct them to --->Mister HysterSisters.

-Don't forget to pamper yourself too! A night out with girlfriends, a trip to the movies, a mani/pedi, or that designer bag you've had your eye on are great ways to reward yourself.
