Getting Ready to go back to work!

Trish, Go to the website orlive.com, on this site it actually shows or procedures. Show this to your husband and I think he will get the message. It shows live hysters. I have to go back to work next week and I am going to due this part time. I had my hyster on 8-15 and I don't feel up to work. My husband did nothing to help me and I am furious. I think differently of him now. Take care, Blinky

Getting Ready to go back to work!

Your husband probably doesn't understand - and after all it can be hard to realize how much rest we need, even for us! I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op, and have had (so far) a really easy recovery. So yesterday I didn't really think and did a lot of stuff. No one thing was strenuous, just it all added up to what would have been an ordinary day. Oh, boy, by bedtime I was utterly exhausted and ached all over.

I realized then that I am NOT back to full strength, and still need lots of extra rest. I'm really glad that when I go back to work (probably at 4 weeks) it will be half time for a couple of weeks - if you can see your financial way to do it, take the extra rest!!!

Getting Ready to go back to work!

Hi Gala,

I can't believe your going to work after 1 week! Since my surgery was abdominal I am not sure how I would feel if it had been vaginal. I wish I could have had a vaginal surgery!

My Dr approved my Short Term Disability thru Oct 7. But I think it has a lot to do with all the complications I had and how sick I was that caused me to have a hyst. I really do feel pretty good. But I am struggling with insomnia and swelly belly. Going back to work will be exhausting too! Sounds like there are many women who don't get as much time and there are those who get more. I guess the possitive is I am in the middle of the bell curve!

Thanks for listening!
Trish
