bleeding post op

This is my third week post op. Had a lot of pain and pressure that I had to take Norco (which I refrained from taking for several days now), and Ibuprofen an hour apart. Then, changing panty liner every hour and a half...Is that expectef post op?

Re: bleeding post op

Yes. In fact, mine and many other sisters have had worse 3rd weeks than even 1st week post-op. The body is still very tender but by 3 weeks we want to be more active and are usually bored and doing more than we should. I didn't have much bleeding or discharge by that time, but so long as the blood isn't bright red, then you shouldn't need to call your doctor. However, if you have any concerns, you should call, even if it's just for your peace of mind. Best wishes for a more serene recovery.
