Two years of success with ablation

I had the ablation 4 years ago, it worked beautifully for 2 years! No cramps, no periods I felt wonderful! Then two years ago I started getting my period again.... It was manageable so I just dealt with it. 3 months ago we were working out of state and I was in absolute horrific pain! I felt like I had an abdominal infection, diverticulitis. Went to the ER and ended up leaving. Pain got a little better and I just wanted to wait till I got home. When we got home dr did an ultrasound and cat scan. My uterus was the size of a 5 month pregnancy and it was FULL of fibroids. I had a hysterectomy within 2 weeks.

They told me at the ultrasound that they had seen two little tiny fibroids two years previously....guess no thought it was important to tell me that. They wondered if I had been taking estrogen because the fibroids had grown so fast...I hadn't.... With all that said, that is my experience. I still would choose to do the ablation first and the hysterectomy if it doesn't work. The only thing I would change is the pain I endured for 3 months! So glad it's over!!
