uti

Well just went doc and found the stabbing pain after I pee is a uti. I am almost 3 weeks post dav and he did an internal to make sure everything is ok and no other infection.

Me too. Called and told doc a uti test that i got at the store came back positive so he called a prescription for nitrofurantoin, hope it clears up soon, hope you feel better too!

I have a bladder infection

I have never had one. I dont know what to expect and i am scared.

Drink some cranberry juice they say it helps. I have had lots of uti they hurt real bad at the end of your pee and a lot of pressure. So hopefully it clears up quick. Just keep drinking fluids it will help.

Thanks so much doglove!!! It is reassuring to hear from someone who has been through this. I left a message for the doc telling about the results of the home uti test, and later the receptionist called back and said they called in an antibiotic prescription.thats it, no instructions about what to do or what to expect. Of course i read all I could online. But nothing replaces personal experience. Of course, thats why we are all here

Glad I could help. This site is awesome it has helped with so many questions and I dont feel so alone. Doctor said these are very common after a hysterectomy. How r u do otherwise? I am doing great but my body lets me know when I did to much. Doctor really didnt tell me my limitations so I didnt know not to vacume or carry laundry basketd I do now. I had 2 csections 15 years ago and thats where I have a lot of pressure and pain old scar tissue. Live to hear how u are doing.

Ugh I have a uti also and am debating going to the er because it is so bad. I have had many of them but am just concerned because I am peeing blood. Not what I was looking to deal with !

Yeah sounds serious I would call your doctor or go to er dont want it turning into a kidney infection. Good luck.

**You're gonna want pyridium for that pain. Plus an antibiotic. The quicker you get those the better. Peeing blood is like Peeing razor blades and it only gets worse.. bladder spasm.. I'd call your Dr for medicine or go to the Er. Why be miserable any more than you already are... :-(
