dVH/RALH Bleeding and clots at two weeks post hysterectomy

I'm post-op day 15. Not real sure what to think. I got up this morning and had the life scared out of me. I went to pee this morning and out of the blue I was bleeding. It was bright red blood and to me it looked like so much blood. I was scared half to death and then low and behold a big blood clot. It was like a period again. After the blood clot came out it started to taper off and by noon it was pretty much gone. I've completely stopped bleed now. I have my first appointment next week so I guess I'll ask my doctor about it then. Just wanted to know if anybody else did this?

It happened to my but if was a couple of hours after surgery. I just assumed it was normal. But I would ask your doctor.

That's what freaked me out. The night of my surgery I couldn't tell you how much I was bleeding cause I have no clue. I slept great though lol. The next morning I had 1 little circle on my pad so I down graded to panty liners with no more bleeding at all. Then this morning I was in shock when I saw it. I've read on here a few post about a mini period that is normal but they were all talking about this happening at around 4 weeks post-op. I'm just barely over 2 weeks post-op.

Wow I wouldve freaked out to. Something else to look forward to. I was hoping never to see blood again ...Well I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you . Don't worry it wasn't too awful bad and it only lasted a few hours. That's a major improvement from what I was used to. Sometimes I would have a heavy period for three weeks out of a month. I've bled 60 days consecutively more then a few times. I went 63 days once had 3 days of no bleeding and then started again for 2 weeks. Yeah i'd say a few hours 1 day and never have it darken my door again oh yeah! Bring it on! Lol
