TVH done yesterday At home now

I had a TVH done yesterday and the ONLY compliant I has was they gave me too much meds.I didn't DARE touch the morphine dispenser cause they wouldn't let me up until it was gone. Well they took it out and I was up and about walking to get my own icewater.Shocked the nurses too..I feel better then ever , but I did develope a UTI but I believe that was prior to the surgery.And the infection of the UTI made the catheter hurt.Now I am having trouble pee-ing, but nothing unbearableI am so glad to have had this done and over.Now from here on my way back to FL I will stop at EVERY beach and swim..I can drive, swim, light cycle and walk starting Monday! I pray all of you have a very un evenful recovery Love you guys

Thats great news. I'm surprised they're letting you swim though. I couldn't even take baths until 2 weeks. Good luck with your recovery and remember to listen to your body. If you're tired, rest.

Wow! Take it easy though rest when your body tells you too! I haven't gone swimming since July 23rd. At least the sun is out maybe I will go put my toes in the sand!

That's great that you are feeling so good. I kept asking for ibuprofen and they kept giving me percocet and demorall. Percocet makes me nauseated and I wanted to do demorall and Motrin. I thought that would have made them happy, but my pain levels stayed pretty high for the first day.

Yeah , I really don't like how they want to pump ya full of pain killers and send ya on your way..If they mask the pain the entire time,how will you know when somethings wrong??Makes no sense to me!
