HELP! 6 wks & got the go ahead started bleeding

Dr said everything look great & I got the go ahead yesterday to have sex. I was so so nervous. It was very tender and really really different. My Dr. thinks I have a Kidney infection, never had one, so would this make it feel different. Then I started bleeding red blood. I have not bled since I was in the Hospital. Not enough for a pad, but enough to scare me. Did I hurt something? Today I am kinda sore, but no bleeding. Is all this normal. I thought about calling my Dr.
I am scared to do it again. I really did not like it. Could no liking it have something to do with a kidney infection cause I have been having pressure feeling like i've got to pee all the time? Could just be my nerves?

HELP! 6 wks & got the go ahead started bleeding

I'm not a doctor and I'm only 4 weeks post-op but I do have a bladder infection that my doctor is clearly worried could become a kidney infection and I've been told some of the signs to look for. Signs of a bladder infection are burning when peeing and feeling like you need to go all the time. I can usually cure this with a LOT of water and cranberry juice, but when I started to pee blood I called the doctor. Signs of a kidney infection may include abdominal and/or low back pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. A kidney infection could certainly make sex painful! A week ago I was dying to have sex again, today it's the last thing on my mind.

Are you being treated for infection? Did he run any tests? A kidney infection can be very serious.

HELP! 6 wks & got the go ahead started bleeding

At 7.5 weeks had the go ahead from the gyne, and intercourse was too painful to continue with. Ten days later had the urologist check up, he showed me (ouch!) tissue was NOT healed, said way too early for intercourse, and told me to wait at least another ten days. He said everything was healing fine, just slowly... we tried again the other day and still too painful but better. I am waiting at least another week. Uncomfortable I expect, but painful sure takes away the fun of it.

HELP! 6 wks & got the go ahead started bleeding

When my dr released me I asked what to do if I had bleeding with sex and he told me to call him. I had some too and found I had some stitches that were pulling. He clipped some knots and it was better. We waited a week before trying again as I was pretty tender.
It's very hard to enjoy sex when you're worried something is wrong and there is any pain involved. We just aren't geared that way.
I also think a kidney infection could definitely make sex less enjoyable if not painful. I think you need to give yourself a little more time. I personally would call the dr and let him/her know what happened, just incase they want to check it out.
Six weeks is early for many. Try not to worry too much about it. I feel it will most likely get better for you. That first try is often not the best. Give yourself a little bit of time before you try again.
