9 weeks post hysterectomy and coughing

im 9 weeks or so post op LAVH. I got a upper respiratory infection and needless to say have been coughing. Since all this started i have pains near all of my surgical areas. Is it possible i pulled or strained these muscles from coughing?

I am not a nurse or a doctor but you would think that in 9 weeks, a fair amount of healing has taken place. The pains near your surgical sites is probably due to the fact that that area is still tender in nature. I hope you get over your cough soon, you can always check with your doctor to give yourself peace of mind.

You could have strained or pulled muscles. I broke a rib, from coughing. You can't do,much about it, except rest and apply heat and ice and take an OTC. If you are still concerned, you should go to the doc to get it looked at.
