One week post hysterectomy - cramping and feel like punched in stomach

I just don't know what to expect. I had laparoscopical vaginal hyst one week ago.

I'm very tired some days (which seems normal). Today I feel like I was punched in the abdomen. I had pain and cramping other days, but this feels different. I see bruising near my incisions too. Not much luck with BMs - had a few movements a few days ago with intense cramps

Does this seem normal? Anyone else feeling this way?

If you're still having problems getting your bowels moving, then that would explain the cramping; I had similar issues during my first week post-op. Regular exercise is highly recommended for constipation, so make sure you're taking those daily walks. What also worked for me were peppermint tea with my breakfast, and a green smoothie with cherries as an afternoon snack. Also indulge in some dark chocolate; it's high in magnesium, which supports proper bowel function. Best wishes for your continued recovery!
