i have to respect my doc on his snap decision

i was just notified that my surgery is being now pushed to mar 2 ,tues,,,to a different hospital,,,a much nicer one in fact.
but , i was told that he uses a team of docs around him and needs to have a urologist nearby in case anything happens. there seems to be a strike happening at the original hospital and they dont know when but it is happening soon,,,and it is all urology department and some others.

i have to respect my doc for having the care and sense that he does for his patients,,for at least having a particular ,related docs
nearby in case anything happens. so now that being said,,,i feel i have been given a team of angels to surround me for a "just in case" scenerio,,,and i feel so much at ease over this.

has anyone here ever had this happen ,,where there is a strike at a hospital and they are about to have surgery?,,,kinda odd,,,but i feel better knowing this now. and also to know that he has other
docs standing by for precautionary measures.

strike

Not a strike, but my best friend went to the hospital in labor and found the doors padlocked. She had to scramble for another hospital to give birth at, in fact the exact hospital she was trying to avoid. Her doctor went with her, though. She absolutely did not need that extra stress. On the bright side, the staff totally fell over themselves trying to make it up to her, and they ended up having an excellent experience.

IMHO, it's a great idea to check out the extent of your own surgeons' privileges at the local hospitals.
