What are you planning to do during your recovery?

Im going to read two books about, what else, hysterectomy. Watch tv, some of my favorite movies, Out of Africa, Dirty Dancing, Blast from the Past. I'm going to keep hubby busy getting me something to drink. Once I'm able to drive I'm going to pick my kids up from school and we're going to the walking track. And watch Big Brother 24/7 live feeds.

Hi I am planning on getting alot of sleep. I work days 7-3 and i hate getting up at 5'30 every morning so i plan on taking advantage of that .lol I will watch ALOT of t.v lol and read. I love to read romance books and Im guessing that will be all the romance I will be getting for 6 weeks lol

Jackie, good luck we are having surgery the same day I will think about you mine is 0700, what about yours! I live in nebraska! I see your in CA?? cool.

I'm scheduled for 7:30am - have to be at the hospital @ 5:30am...I'm used to getting up @ 4am already (I start work early!) so it shouldn't be too hard...that is, unless I don't sleep the night before!

Jackie it's the same deal for me be there at 0520 and surgery at 0700. I'am up early also so its no big deal! My husband has family in Orange County (Huntington Beach ) & an Aunt & Uncle in San Diego area and an Uncle in Brawley CA. So we get that direction sometimes!! We live in York Nebraska. Well I will be thinking about you and your recovery.Good LUCK

I plan on reading, doing a few bible studies, and watching old BBC and Jane Austen movies..

My plan is to sleep as much as I can, but when I'm awake surf the net, watch TV, and if I have the energy I'm getting out my knitting hoops and going to try to make a hat or two for the freebies box in the cancer center at my hospital. The receptionist at the desk told me they're always looking for knit hats and can never keep enough there.

Ladies my surgery is scheduled for Sept.18th, but I have to phone my doctor 2 days before to find out the the time for the operation. I have to a 19 and 16 year old so Im lucky that i dont have to look after small kids while Im recovering. My husband can do the cooking so its a good time for me to have this surgery.

Ladybug88 - Yep, I guess that's the only thing that's good about already getting up that early, huh? LOL!

It's a small world - I have some family (Aunt & cousins) in the midwest - KA & MO...most here in CA, though.
