Long time to wait

Just had my six-week check yesterday. Doc said everything was normal, and I felt 100 percent healed per internal exam. Don't go back till my regular annual checkup in December. But then told me (I had hoped he would shorten the wait) that I still need to wait SIX MORE WEEKS for sex. At previous visits, he said he was on the cautious side -- no kidding! I really really like this doc - this is the only issue that seems off to me. If I continue to listen to my own body, there's no way I will wait that long. Thoughts?

I just know that my doctor told me that while I was healing normally and could resume all my normal activities (inlcluding sex) within comfortable limits that I was only about 50% healed internally and that it would take about 6 more weeks to fully heal 100%. I feel great and have tried sex twice, it does feel a little uncomfortable. Everyone heals differently, but I wouldn't rush it if your Dr. says to hold off.

Wow! 6 more weeks? Seems weird since you are 100% healed according to your DR, but I guess he has his reasons. My DR told me originally no sex for 6 weeks. My 6-week checkup is April 19th. I definitely hope she doesn't make me wait another 6 weeks. It's been hard enough waiting for these to end! It's great news on your healing, though!
