Re: How much time off work?
I had TVH with cyctocele and rectocele repairs and my doctors told me 4-6 weeks. I had surgery the 29th and went in to work yesterday for a visit and I was there for 45 min. After I was exhausted and sore and then I went to DD volleyball game. Not a good idea. After that I needed a pain pill. So in my opinion I do not feel that I could go back even in four weeks let alone 2. I would askyour doctor for at least four weeks off work. I have the best boss. He told me yesterday he is going to pay me for being off and to take whatever time I need so I heal properly.

Re: How much time off work?
Well, I did go back to work today, and worked for around 6 hours. My boss told me that I could come in late and leave early and work from home if I need to. I am a computer programmer, sitting most of the time, but can get up whenever I want, so it's pretty flexible. I am going to take him up on the coming in late / leaving early / working from home deal, though! Sitting was a tad bit uncomfortable, because of the stitches from the rectocele repair - I plan to take my doughnut pillow tomorrow.

Re: How much time off work?
I'm nine weeks out and the doc extended me another month. It's the complications, while seemingly minor, keep me off. But, I work in an field where you can't tolerate "minor" annoyances nor easily get to a bathroom.
