just had pre med. Gulp!

Hi, new to posting here although i have been reading threads on this site for the last few months. It's answered ALL my questions, given me food for thought and made me feel that i'm not on my own. Had the pre med today (blood pressure, blood test etc) and when the nurse asked if i had any questions i said "no!" and told her about this site. So thanks to you all.
The nerves are starting though (TAH). Not so much about the op (i'll be asleep!)but about just feeling poorly and not being able to be independant or ride my horse. Don't think i'll breeze this quite like i did my ceasarian.....
Guess what! How's this for a coincidence....went to meet the gyno who is going to perform the surgery and we RECOGNISED eachother from competing our horses at the same events (this seemed to throw him more than me as there he is, tinkering about down below, my legs pointing east and west, asking how's so and so doing etc!!!) LOL! He got quite flustered, bless.
Well, you've got to laugh, this man really does know me inside out!!!!!!
Anyway, surgery is on June 2nd. Waiting is the worst of it. Fingers and toes crossed and good luck to you all.

Hi

I'm so glad you've found HysterSisters to be so helpful to you. And also glad that you decided to come out of lurkdom to say "hi".

Please take a minute to go into your profile and add your surgery date so we can be sure to include you in the special good wishes for your date.

Best wishes!

Good luck

I am sure you'll be fine! Are your 4 legged friends 'on site'? Or do you have to travel? Either way you'll be back with them before you know it. I am 6 months out and am wondering where the time has gone.

I'm not claiming it has been plain sailing but it has been fairly uneventful. Given that you ride you must be very fit and that's got to be on your side. (Wears me out just watching my daughter's hourly lesson each week!)

Hang on in there, take it easy and best of luck from here in the UK

Gill.

HI You are too funny! I guess it could be a very good thing to have a doctor know you inside and out! Glad to have you join us and ask everything you still have not learned.
