Almost 4 months post-op - doing good

Hi,

I haven't been on in a while but I decided to post today since on Monday, July 9, 2012 will be 4 months since my surgery. I am not sure if I can still post here or not, but I am going to.

It has taken a while, but DH and I have finally did the "deed". I was pretty sore there for a long time and the feeling of being sore and sensitive has elevated enough that we finally did it. I still have the sore feeling but it is getting better. It was not easy having sex after not being able to for a while before and after, but we managed to do it. It hurt at first but once I was able to adjust, it was not that bad. And I did not need any lubricant either.

I felt that I had hit a milestone and am happy. I am doing good, as I said, still sore at times, but it is getting better. I have been back to work for two months and going strong.

I just want to let the other "sisters" that are going through hysterectomies that it does get better and that life will return to normal as we know it. Life will never be like it was before, but it will be much better. I have no more pain like I did before and no more periods, which is a side benefit. I agree with those who said after they had their surgery that they have felt so much better. And I do.

It's good to hear that you are doing well. I had my surgery a couple of weeks before you amd like you I'm experiencing such a better quality of life.
Hopefully soon the soreness will go away when you are doing the deed. Don't stop trying and maybe soon it'll be upgraded from not that bad to awesome or mind blowing .
Take care and (HUGS) to you
