Smile - Repairs in November - upcoming revision Repairs in November - upcoming revision

I am many years post hysterectomy now, but have been dealing with pelvic floor problems since early 2011, repaired in November, but still struggling with the after effects of surgery and the fact that I know that a 'revision' is going to happen soon, appointment on 28th. I have always been fit and active, get frustrated and upset that this 'journey' is taking so long.

I am sorry you are still experiencing problems an are facing another surgery. I am a member of the long journey club and it is very frustrating. Sometimes even if we are good to our bodies they are not good to us. I pray that this revision fixes all your problems for good. Keep us posted!!

Repairs in November - upcoming revision

Hello and thanks for your reply. I so totally agree, very frustrating! I should know more next week, despite all of our 'womens issues lol' us girls are still pretty amazing, we do all this, work, be a wife and mother, daughter, list is endless and we should remember our abilities and not just our problems. Easy to say, harder to do, x

So frustrating - has anyone else had successful second repairs? Yes, we are incredible creatures....we deal with so many issues that men can't even understand how we feel or the discomfort pain we deal with on a daily bases. Hugs to all!

Re: Repairs in November - upcoming revision

I was scheduled to have a second posterior repair since my rectocele is back but I am trying PT first. Not certain it is the right thing to do.... But I wanted to give it a try before I had surgery. Maybe if I know what I am doing post op next time and not cause it to fail?
Or... A girl can hope.... Maybe avoid surgery all together?

Its a hard decision about what to do next, but doing nothing, is equally difficult. Sometimes it would be good for someone to make the decision for you, needs lots of research, asking questions and so on, thinking you are alone we know logically is wrong but feelings take over, I don't know at this stage what to do next either.

Re: Repairs in November - upcoming revision

I am trying so hard to stay positive.... The PT with some extra stretching I have found on my own seems to be working... But deep in my heart I know another surgery is in my future. That brings me great sadness.
