periods after ovary removal

i was just wondering if anyone knows if you still have your period when you have no ovaries and possibly on hrt? if uterous and cervix are o.k., will be keeping them. i will be having my last ovary with cyst removed feb. 22. i sure hope it stops mentration or at the very least, makes them much lighter.

Ti find out for sure you ought to ask your DR, but I'm guessing that yes you would still have some sort of period. Since you aren't having your uterus removed you can't take unopposed estrogen so you will have the types of hormones that cause the uterus to build up the lining, then slough it off each month.

Again that's just what I think, please check with your DR to be sure.
