Pilates

I am almost 5 months post op and wanted to start Pilates. I did about 15 minutes today and my stomach hurts. Was just wondering if this is a good excersise for women recovering from complete hysterectomy? Wasn't very fit before surgery and want to be fit now.

never to late to start.....just start of beginner and work way up! i love it.....feels so good to tone and strenghen!! helps posture, keeps aches and pain at bay.....i can tell the difference all ready....been 5 days and cant do it for at least 3 months. of note....within a month of appendectomy i was back going strong!

I has a single incision LSH and was back at Pilates in10 days . Your body doesn't forget and before you know it you will be back in shape .

Hi. I'm 8 weeks post-op & went to pilates on monday. I'm reeaallly sore, but it's a good sore. I'm use to doing cycling, but can't get back to that for a few more months. I use to do pilates & loved it, so i thought i would start back there & work my way back up. It's good to get into a good exercise routine, before you know it, you'll feel so much better. Good luck!
