Pain and cramping getting worse every day

Hi ladies,

I am about 3.5 years post op. I've had increasing problems having sex since surgery. I had hoped that once I recovered and no longer had the pain from my fibroid things would get back to normal. Initially things were ok, pain was infrequent but over time it has worsened. It has gotten to the point where nearly every time ends in pain, cramping and tears. I tried Estradiol cream which had minimal impact. I tried Norethindrone (progesterone) for the pain as well as continued bleeding and it just made me bloated and irritable. I'm in about week 6 of pelvic floor PT and week 3 of using vaginal dilators with little improvement. I got married in September and have been able to have sex with my husband about 4 or 5 since. I'm incredibly frustrated and tired of being in pain. I'm planning to continue PT for a few more weeks but my specialist now wants to refer me for a trachelectomy (cervix removal) which I'm afriad will make things worse not better!

Any advice? Words of encouragement?

have you seen your dr about this problem? had an ultrasound or MRI? i think that is where i would start.

Thanks dressedupinblue. I've been seeing Drs for this since surgery. I've seen my regular GYN and she sent me to a specialist. The specialist sent me for pelvic floor PT and put me on Norethindrone. Now the specialist is saying if the meds didn't work I should consider getting my cervix removed and I don't need to see her again. I am feeling super frustrated by the medical community because nothing is helping, I'm getting no answer as to what the issue is and they just want to do mire surgery.
