Bleeding after sex at 4 weeks

Had Vaginal hysterectomy 4 weeks ago. Dr. said sex OK at 4 weeks. This morning we had sex for the first time - it was lovely gentle and no pain. But now I am lightly bleeding. Should I call the doctor?

Wow, I am amazed to hear only 4 weeks. I was told 6 weeks and I did wait. No problems at all - I was very scared but all went great! You might want to call just to be on the safe side.

(((Lorimo1))) Some spotting the first time or two can be normal, but I would call the DR just to let him/her know about the bleeding, especially if it's bright red blood (as opposed to older, black blood).

And I, too, am surprised you were released for sex at four weeks; that sounds early to me. I was released at six weeks but really didn't feel up to it until about eight weeks.
