Excessive bleeding more surgery

I have just heard that a friend who had her op 2 days after me was rushed back to hospital this morning for emergency surgery due to excessive bleeding. I am so worried abou her, I know she had not overdone anything, we were messaging daily, in fact we compared notes yesterday on our bleeding and I told her if she was worried she should ring her doc or the hospital.

Can someone enlighten me on what can cause this? I know that a blood vessel can burst in the vaginal cuff and need to be cauterised but what else can happen. I am beside myself with worry, the poor thing

I was rushed back for a check up because I was bleeding quite a bit. They were concerned that it was "active" bleeding. If that was the case, I would have been rushed back into surgery. I only had some "oozing" blood from the cuff so it was just treated with silver nitrate and all was good after that. Wish I could be of more help...wish your friend all the best!

Oh my - the poor dear! I really don't know what would cause such a thing, crossing my fingers for the best possible outcome! Let us know.

HI ladies, well I am Back in hospital. Not sure if is diviticulitis but I also have a hematoma around my ovaries. I am I'm in a lot of pain and I am shattered. Yesterday was my best morning yet and now this, they are pumping me full of antibiotics.
