Now THRUSH??

Just when ya say you can't take anymore........ Nothing's gone easily for me post-surgery (severe, drenching hot flashes 24/7; naseous constantly; loss of appetite and almost unable to drink; fell & set back recovery a few weeks; severe constipation set back recovery again; E.R. visits b/c of chestpain & shortness of breath; "Severe" UTI + diverticulitis infections).......................... and now Thrush!!!

It's in my throat, making it harder to swallow my pills. Waiting to see if it gets worse. Trying to hang on til tomorrow & hope I can get to my doctor. It had to happen on a holiday.

I'm beyond beaten down by now.......

I am so sorry you are having such a terrible time It's not fair! Try your best to keep your chin up and looking forward, sis. And don't be afraid to call the on-call doctor or go into the ER if you need to. Yes, it's a holiday, but people don't stop being sick or needing help on holidays...seek help if you feel you need it. Peace.

Thank you, piper! I will. Just waiting to see what happens. I tried to research it to see what I could do at home in the meantime. Ugh!

I got thrush too after surgery. It was all over my tongue, top and bottom and the entire inside of my mouth. Water made my mouth burn! Call the doctor tomorrow and tell them you have thrush. They should be able to call in a prescription for liquid nystatin. It tastes like banana and you swish it around your mouth three times a day. The medication works quickly so you should get some relief very soon. Good luck and remember you are not alone!!!!

Thrust is such a pain. I got it on my tongue. They prescribed one Diflucan pill and I took acidophilus capsules and used salt water rinses and it did go away. But so annoying!!
