Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

Steam and showers didn't work for me either.

I hadn't thought about a steri-strip wax ... made me smile today.

Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

*ouch*

I had an LSH and my steri strips stayed on for 8, yes 8 weeks!!! I was told to let them fall off, they didn't, so my Dr. took them off. LOL!

Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

Okay, did the shower thing, soaped and steamed and the steri-strips wouldn't budge. Then I decided to try slathering my hair conditioner down my tummy, let it sit for a minute then try again. They weren't quite so stubborn after that and i was able to remove them all without tearing out too much of my hair

What'd they use, wonder glue???

Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

Oh, I my doc also told me to rub vitamine E on mine and that would help. It was a fight, but eventually I did get them off.

Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

Sorry about the pain and discomfort with the steri-strips, ladies. It DID take a long time for mine to come off as well. Thanks, though for the laughs. A couple of those posts were just too funny! Hope everyone is doing well!

Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

I just had my stiches taken out yesterday and had the strips put on. My DR told me to take them off in a week while showering. I have a 2 week follow up after that.

Re: (Steri)-Strip Tease

I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and my dr. had to remove mine after a month of wear.
For my LAVH (7/28), they must have given me the cheapie strips. The one from my belly button fell off yesterday.
