Bruised and Bleeding Ovary

Hi there I had my TAH in December and initially was supposed to keep both ovaries, however when my doctor came to see me the day after my op he told me that he had to take out one of my ovaries as it was bruised and bleeding. Has anyone else had this or know what could have been the problem. I'm awaiting results from pathology so just wanted to ask beforehand.
