breathing problem

I had a lavh 5-23-06 left both overies.Ever since I woke up from surgery I have had A problem taking deep
breaths.Doctors have ruled out blood clots with lots of test. They dont know what it is.People have told me it might be a side effect from anesthesia.Has anyone out there had a problem like this.It is very scary to me they say its nothing serious, but it doesnt feel that way to me.Any feed back is welcome.

breathing problem

Hi,

I have had trouble breathing for several reasons since surgery. Whenever I eat more than a cupful of food my swellybelly rebels and is too full - VERY hard to breathe well then! I also have anxiety, and sometimes can't take a good breath when anxious. I'm glad you've been checking this out with your doctors. If this continues I would stay on your doctors' cases until they figure it out. The squeaky wheel gets the grease when you're not feeling well.

Take care!

breathing problem

Ya know....

I've been having that same problem the last few days.

It seems as though I can't get enough oxygen into my lungs, even if I take a deep breath. And when I lay down, my chest feels very heavy.

I have no advice for you........as I have put off calling the doc, but please know that you aren't alone.

Hugs~

breathing problem

Are you anemic because of excess bleeding etc? This can cause a lack of oxygen in the blood and make it more difficult to take a deep breath. I had big porblems the first week. They checked me for clots, too. It will be two weeks tomorrow and I am doing much better.

breathing problem

I have had problems taking deep breaths. It wouldn't surprise me if it were anesthesia related. Like I have said on other posts, I felt like when they intubated me, they must have set the breathing for somebody scaling Mt Everest! My ribs felt like they had not been inflated so big in years! I have some nausea problems too, and others are telling me this is anesthesia related as well. Let us know how you are doing. Maybe we can all get some answers!
