Hysterectomy: February 18th, 2009

Surgery Type: SAH

Ovaries: Kept 1 or both

Incision pain with bowel movement and urination

I am still experiencing pain around the incision area and when I urinate or have a bowel movement I feel like I am giving birth. Is that normal? Is that pain going to go away? Is it because of everything being 'abused' during surgery and it just needs to heal?

Have you mentioned your symptoms to your doctor? Swelling issues could be causing the pain but it would be best to verify what you are experiencing is part of healing.
