4 days post hysterectomy: Is 'sloshy' feeling normal?

I'm 4 days post surgery, and my insides feel so sloshy. I have a hard time drinking because I feel like it just sloshes around inside. I'm a side sleeper, and when I turn over, it feels like everything is sliding around, even with a binder on. Is this normal?

Re: Is 'sloshy' feeling normal?

I don't know if it's normal but I felt it, too! I had LAVH on 6/17/14 and now things do not slosh. Put a pillow under your abdomen when you lay on your side, it helps.

Re: Is 'sloshy' feeling normal?

I had that too, for the first 2-3 weeks. It was worse when I cough or sneeze! It's been 5 weeks since my LAVH and this feeling is gone now.

Re: 4 days post hysterectomy: Is 'sloshy' feeling normal?

I had my surgery 6/6 and I sleep on my back or on my side with pillows. I didn't have a sloshy feeling but it's hard to describe the twinges and pulls which could all be the same feeling. I think it's all normal. Hang in there it's all apart of the healing process. A new process might I add.
