Sept / Oct Princesses Swelly Belly?

What causes this to happen to us guys? Extra blood flow there to protect and heal the area????

It's caused by something known as serous fluid. It's a sterile fluid that floods an injured area. It's why your ankle swells if you sprain it - same principle.

thank you so much for answering that.. So does that mean it doesn't really matter to much when I take a good walk and at the end of the day my swelly belly is bigger??

Oh my yes!

Four days of non-stop activity gave me swelly belly with a vengeance and my first spotting since 2 weeks post-op. Now I'm doing a lot more resting but those Christmas cookies just keep calling - eat me! eat me!

I just wish something--other than boring, boring rest-- could make it go away. Till then, I embrace you silly with your strange jiggly-ness. I am Budda woman... Santa woman... comfy pajama woman.
(The new pain in my right side I could live without though. Go away icky pain.)

I'm going to throw something else in here for discussion. Has anyone else had swelling in their thighs too? I lost a lot of weight last year (30 lbs.--couldn't eat). My skin just sagged and now my thighs are taught. Just curious if it's just me.

Going to church Christmas morning - s q u e e z e d myself into a pair of trousers because I didn't want to go to the service in my track suit pants (they are all so shabby as I wear and wash them over and over). Couldn't wait to get the trousers off and back into my baggies. Will this belly EVER go down?

Glad to hear that this swelly belly seems to be a normal thing! I got back to work on Tuesday and everyone told me I looked pale and kept asking if I was sick. Finally I told them that I thought I may have overdone it cooking Saturday and Sunday. One said I needed to get on vitamins...that's his answer to everything!

The swelly belly is going down though!
