Pre-op--NO BOWEL Prep! :)

NO BOWEL PREP!!! Did I mention -- NO BOWEL Prep!

You get the idea!

I have IBS/constipation and all the "stimulant" laxatives make me sicker than the disease - so I usually refuse to do this for all medical procedures!

Simple - No solids after 12am on Mon 10th, No clear liquids after 6:30am Tues. 11th -- surgery @ 9:30am on Tues. 11th!

Only downside is the anethesiologist could not meet with me pre-op to discuss type of sedation.

I also get to shave myself - I'm in heaven!

Any advice on q's for the drug man?

One less thing you have to hassle with ~ bowel prep!

As for questions to the anesthesiologist.... I can't think of questions, but making sure s/he knows anything about you that may be pertinent, like reactions to certain drugs, or any meds or supplements you've taken in the past few days, etc. would be important to mention.

No bowel prep - that's great
Shaving yourself sounds neat too. I really didn't mind being shaved at the castle though - I was already asleep!
