Changes after 2 surgeries

Hello Sisters,

Sooooo.....I had a total hysterectomy back in September. The doc left my ovaries due to my age and her wanting me to go through menopause naturally. I had some depression after and started on a very small amount of estrogen and 20 mg of celexa. It really helped. Last week, I had my right ovary and tube removed due to a cyst and scar tissue from the previous surgery. I have been trying to find information on what to expect with the loss of an ovary. My doctor has been great with answering any questions I have. But its nice to have information shared by other women who have been through this as well.
Been alittle blue this week. I sometimes feel like I have lost a huge part of me over the last 5 months.
Trying to stay positive. No matter what though, I feel blessed.

good luck... I hope you're feeling a lot better. I have my total hysterectomy in december and the doctor left my right ovary only. since the surgery I've had problems with cysts on my right ovary... she is working hard and over producing. I've been trying birth control to suppress the ovary but it's not working so I'm making the choice to have it removed. I felt okay with 1 ovary... hope things work out well for you.
