What can I eat tonight?

Hey Sisters,

Just wondering? I can eat up until midnight but was wondering if anyone could give some ideas about what I could eat tonight? Don't want to over do it and eat lots of solid things, just something light and easy to digest without it being liquid? Hours are counting down...

Thanks Praz

What can I eat tonight?

I stuck to liquids, I just felt it was better for me after all that bowel prep! I figured my intestinal tract wasn't happy with me anyway for doing that to it so why irritate it! LOL Actually, I didn't have anything after the bowel prep except water.

My Dr. said just eat light, no steak and potatoes. Vegetable soup was a suggestion she made. I would think that creamy Polenta would be ok, just make sure it's creamy (or more watery I should say)

Good luck, you'll do just fine!

Praz, I agree with jaebe, especially since I had to cleanse myself. It is tough, but try to stick with clear liquids.

Best of luck to you.

What can I eat tonight?

Hey,
Thanks guys. I guess applesauce would be okay. What do you think? The only things I have had today is tea, one little snack size applesauce. I am sooooo hungry. I have to be really careful with my blood sugar because I will have a seizure if it drops too low. Oh and my sweet parents are wanting to take me out for supper tonight. uugghh! Help! I could say no but they live in another state and I don't get to see them often. They are in for my surgery.

Applesause should be ok. It's easy on the digestive tract. Tea is good...try some soup, I'd stay away from clam chowder though!

Personally, I would forgo dinner with the parents, just spend some time with them at home. For me, it would be the time spent, not the activity that would be important. I'm sure if you explain it to them that way, they would totally understand.

Best wishes, hang in there, it's almost over!

What can I eat tonight?

I ate a bag of banana popsicles the evening before. I was freezing to death but covered with blankets as I sat on the sofa. I hadn't had a banana popsicle in years prior to me pre-op night! My doc had me on liquids from noon - midnight and then NPO midnight.

What can I eat tonight?

I had toast with cinnamon and sugar, tea and jello. I was content after that. The sugar will help too. Good Luck
