Bleeding like a normal period?

TAH on Dec 16 - 6wk c/u was Monday and cleared--she didnt examine me from the inside but she said the outside was great -- i wish now that she wouldve checked my inside....now i am bleeding like a im having a normal period. Is this normal? Going to call her first thing in the morning and im pretty sure i will be having this silver nitrate thing done. Would this also prolong my recovery to return to work on Feb 9th?

(((Pam))), if you had a SAH as your signature line indicates, you still have your cervix so it's possible that you're experiencing what's known as a mini-period. Women who have kept their cervix and one or both ovaries can have post-op cyclical bleeding.

I took the advice and called the doc. I explained to the nurse that i'm 6 weeks out and have been spotting for 6 days. Mild discomfort (i hesitate to use the word pain). Started spotting after a day of running errrands, but no heavy lifting or sex. Been resting this week and figured that 6 days of spotting might be a situation. They called back and told me to lay low and rest this weekend. If things don't improve they want me to call back Monday and make an appointment.
