TAH: June 29th? Is anyone as terrified?

I enjoyed the "boots". Just had them overnight and part of the morning before I went home but they did feel like a massage.

Since they want you to at least pass gas before moving on to other things (in my case they wanted that before they wanted to remove the catherter, but I drove them crazy) .. anyway my family doctor said if you want to encourage the gas, try a peppermint (after they ok something by mouth) and it seemed to help.

My first "gas" was in the up direction. I quite suddenly felt like I had to vomit (with nothing in me but ice chips and water) but what came up was the largest belch of my life. Shortly there after I passed gas in the way they wanted and then I couldn't stop! But at least that meant systems were working, I guess.

I'm thinking of all who will have their surgeries tomorrow (or later today depending on your time zone).

Thinking about all of you! I'm scheduled for TAH on July 1 and am trying to get everything in order here for dh to be able to take care of the kids, seemlessly.

I can't sleep tonight either. Still not packed. Still haven't bought bowl prep. Still have to have labs done in the morning...
