Change of Date?

Hi everyone! Thanks for all of the information that is shared. I am scheduled for a TAH/BSO on July 23 for fibroids. I have had bleeding daily for 2 months but only lightly. These past 2 days that bleeding has increased dramatically! My dilemma is...... I have a visit with the surgeon this afternoon, do I move up the date. My family has a vacation scheduled for July before my surgery and changing the date would mean cancelling the trip. My DH is very supportive and understanding but I am feeling very guilty and selfish.

ND - Don't feel guilty about wanting to get surgery over with. I know that's hard to do especially with vacation planned but you need to do what's best for you.

Please let us know what you and your gyn. have decided.

Have you considered that if your bleeding doesn't stop or heaven
forbid gets worse, your vacation may be ruined anyway!!
Hope the best for you and maybe your Dr. can sort it all out with you.

I would wait to see what the Dr. says. He may not want you to go on vacation if you are bleeding heavily. Take his advice - your family will understand.
