Second Day Post-op

Just want to say thank you for all the thoughtful messages. The surgery wasn't to bad but the gas and pressure pain is the worst. I hope the post-op help is just as good as the pre-op.

Welcome to post op! I hope you're resting well. As you feel up to it you need to walk around the house and just move to help move that gas. I found GasX to be really helpful too.

Gas-X, moving around and deep breathing really help me. Was gone by day two.

lAST NIGHT WAS VERY FREAKY, I HAD SUCH BAD CHILLS AND SHIVERING AND FINALLY TOOK PAIN MEDS AND WENT TO SLEEP. I WAS S NERVOUS I WASN'T SURE IF IT WAS NORMAL. nOT SURE ALSO IF I SHOULD START TAKING STOOL SOFTNER. i FEEL LIKE A HAVE A GIANT WATERMELON IN MY BELLY. HELP!!!!

i think you should call your doctor with those questions.......

in general i would say yes..take a stool softener..

and the bad chills might have been hormonal or related to the pain or shock from the surgery... but i think you might want to run those symptoms by yoru doctor

Please call your the chills may be a sign of a fever and you need to ask him about it.
