Angry about doc app.. repair vaginal cuff

Where do I begin… I went to see my OB this morning. He did another internal to see how things looked after he had done the silver nitrate. . . He wants me to see the ob who did my surgery because I had a good amount of granulation left.. Some inside tissue on the outside of the scar. He feels that I may have adhesions linking the scar to my other organs.. Such as my bladder and intestines.. He feels that she should do a vaginal cuff repair.

He also feels I have adhesions pulling at my left ovary.. Hence the pain I get upon strenuous activity. The cyst on my right ovary is small but if it begins to enlarge then they will remove it. The reason I had a different OB do the surgery is due to the fact that I have a few compromising blood disorders and not every hospital accommodates for such needs. Since that surgery I have followed up with my original OB. He has taken care of me since. I was under the assumption that it was normal to have pain during sex.. And that the bladder cramping and intestine cramping were some what normal too.. Apparently after several months it is not. SO I get home and call back to old OB and explain to the nurse the situation… she was BEYONG rude and for the most part dismissed me. They gave me an app a month out.. I was not going to have that so needless to say it is now on the 6th. I am sad. Why in the world do I want this surgeon to repair my cuff when I do not trust her to do it right the second time around? I am sad. I want my original OB to do the surgery . I know and understand why he can not. PLEASE ladies wish me well. I am scared. I have no idea what is going to be done to my insides and I fear this woman will end up butchering me.. I feel like she did already .. But that she will make it worse. As for my ovaries, they are functioning fine now.. More test are going to be done to check my thyroid and such since I suffer with hot flashes. That rude nurse would not understand why the OB did not give me hormones to help ease my vaginal pain.. I CAN NOT HAVE THEM DUE TO MY BLEEDING DISORDERS… that is the main reason we are doing the wait and watch approach on my ovary with the cyst. I feel so discouraged right about now. What in the world would they do to repair my cuff?? Cut more out and re-stitch??

BIG to you! My prayers and thoughts are with you in this very difficult time. Is there any way for you to find an OB/Gyn that deals with your disorders, and that you could at least get some compassion from.

i'm so sorry youre going through this if you feel the surgeon will end up butchering you, you shouldnt use her. go with your gut feeling and get another opinion or two or three until you find someone that you trust with your body. good luck.

What bleeding disorders do you have?

Hi ladies. I have factor five leiden and I also have a qualitative platelet disorder. One prevents me from healing fully at a normal rate and the other causes blood clots randomly.. so no hormones allowed.
I am planning on going to this appiontment and if I feel so strongly about my dislikes then I will go crying to my OB for help... see what I can do. I just want this to be done and over with. You prep for the surgery and many people are scared for that day to come but what helps them is knowing that afterwards they will be better-healthier.. so to find out afterwards that you just have more problems.. well it sort of sucks.. but thanks ladies again for all your kind and warm thoughts.

Bless you sweetheart, don't put up with this, state your feelings and make a fuss, don't be polite, - this is your life and your body they are messing around with and if you're not satisfied with the service be firm.

I have a platelet disorder that they cannot put a name too. My son and I have the same condition and our case has been presented through Canada and the US. We have low, dysfunctional platelets (bad ones over take the good ones) and we have prolonged bleeding times.

Yes.. WOW nice to know my son and I are not alone! My son has this too.. my daughter is fine.
So did you have bleeding problems with your hysterectomy? I wonder if that is the cause for my vaginal cuff not healing correctly?

I feel for you. My recovery has also been full of complications and I'm not sure if you saw my post on Monday. I saw my dr for my cuff not healing all the way and he also wanted to take me right back to the operating room for repairs. I was so upset and I said no. I am going to try to work it our another way first BUT the one difference is that I do trust my Dr. I think you need that peace also. Does your old OB have any other Dr suggestions for you? Can you call your insurance company and see if they have any other Dr's they can refer you to who can deal with your blood issues for a second opinion??

Let us know how it goes, but I truly know how frustrating this can be.
