LSH being scheduled

I'm guessing my doctor won't be removing
my tubes since she only mentioned
removing the uterus. I might ask since I'm
curious.

LSH being scheduled

Dear sisters-in-waiting,
I am exactly 1 week post-LSH, kept my cervix and ovaries and tubes. One thing I found very important was to keep a notebook handy and write down any and all questions you have for the surgeon, no matter how silly they seem! My doctor answered every question and with his confidence most of my fears melted away! Each of us is unique in our surgeries but we're all sisters-in-pain. Keep your eyes on the goal.......that mountain is there, where we all climb to heal together and then help other sisters to ascend! That means no looking back other than in remembrance of what was and is no more!!!

LSH being scheduled

I'm still waiting on a date to be scheduled for
the LSH to be done. I was told it will probably
be in Sept.

LSH being scheduled

It seems like the wait to know when
the LSH will happen is making me nervous
added to being nervous about the surgery.
Has anyone else felt this way?

Just try and think happy and positive thoughts. I know it is easier said than done. I am a teacher and I have already started thinking about the lesson plans that I have to make to ensure that my "children" get an education while I am out. Like I told my husband, my one decision affects 150 people.

I am hoping you get a quick surgery date so that you won't worry so much.

I hope everything goes well for you.

I had my husband drive me to the dog park on day 5 - the park is about 25 min away and the bumpy from the road was a little much. I would recommend waiting longer than 5 days for long drives.

My LSH is scheduled for Sept. 16 and the wedding we might go to is on Sept. 27. We would leave on Sept. 26 and stay a couple nights. Do you think that will be too soon to travel. I guess I have to see how I'm doing a couple days before then. It's about 2 hours from here.
